Liebherr LTM1300-6.2

The Liebherr’s LTM1300-6.2 debut on the Germany Bauma 2013 in Munich, the first one of its kind single engine 300 ton all terrain crane. The 300 ton all terrain crane is mounted on a six-axle chassis powered by a single engine with a mechanical shaft. Using this innovative concept, it eliminates the need for a second engine which is normally used on the crane of this capacity class. Equipped with a 78-metre telescopic boom, it offers an additional 6 meter in length over its time-tested predecessor, LTM1250-6.1.

The new LTM 1300-6.2 features a longer telescopic boom of 78 metres and an increased lifting capacity.

Variable Supporting Base System

The crane is equipped with Liebherr’s new Variable Supporting Base system which accurately measures the exact position and the support forces exerted on each individual outriggers. The onboard LICCON work planner uses this data to safely plot the working duties of the crane based on the actual data, position, ballast and ground force of the crane at that moment in time. The moment limiter will stop the crane extending past the safe operating zone.

Milestone

LHB Group, a Singapore-based crane rental company has purchased the first unit of LTM1300-6.2 for Singapore market. A handover ceremony was held a Liebherr booth to the new owners during Shanghai Bauma 2014.

UK crane rental company, King Lifting has placed a for its first Liebherr crane in its fleet, which is also the first unit of LTM1300-6.2 in the UK.
