Liebherr HS825HD Litronic Crawler Crane (40 ton)

Liebherr unveiled the new 40 ton capacity heavy duty crawler at at September’s Matexpo 2007 exhibition in Belgium. The HS 825 HD Litronic was the most powerful model in the 40 ton market sector then, which completes Liebherr’s 5 Series of hydraulic duty cycle crawlers at the bottom end of the range.

Technical Specifications

The crane comes with a maximum self-erecting lattice boom length of 47m mounted onto a standard telescopic undercarriage and crawler pads 700mm in length. Transportation is easy with a 3m width and 37 ton transport weight (without counterweight).

It if fitted with a six cylinder 180 kW/245 hp new generation Liebherr diesel engine, compliant with Stage 3 / Tier III noise and exhaust emission regulations. An optional 270 kW/376 hp version is also available.

The standard equipment includes 16 ton free-fall winches with maintenance free multi-disc brakes and Liebherr’s Litronic system, comprising all control and monitoring functions and is designed to withstand extreme temperaturs and heavy duty tasks.

Possible applications includes work using a dragline bucket, clamshell, diaphragm-wall grab or casing oscillator, along with straightforward lifting tasks.
