Grove added GMK5220 to their all terrain range and the first unit was rolled off the production at the end of 2005. The 220 ton capacity five axle telescopic crane comes with a seven section telescopic boom extended to its full 68 meters at a radius of 24 meters with a maximum lifting capacity of 13 ton.

The boom is also equipped with Grove’s patented Twin-Lock Megaform boom and by adding 12 to 21 meters bi-fold luffing swingaway and two 8 meters inserts, it give the 220 ton a maximum possible lifting height of 105 meters.

This model has been discontinued and has been replaced by GMK5250L.
