The Demag AC1200J is a formidable all-terrain crane engineered specifically for the Japanese market, embodying exceptional lifting capabilities and advanced technological features. This crane boasts a remarkable capacity with its main boom extending from 15.0 meters, capable of lifting up to 400.0 tons at a 2.8-meter radius, to a length of 57.9 meters, where it can lift 360 tons at a 12.0-meter radius. The crane’s versatility is further enhanced by a fixed jib that extends from 12.0 meters with a capacity of 22.0 tons, to 19.0 meters with a capacity of 16.0 tons, and a luffing jib ranging from 20.0 meters with 82.0 tons capacity to an impressive 86.0 meters in length.

Speed is a hallmark of the AC1200J, with both hoist 1 and 2 achieving speeds of up to 160 meters per minute. The boom elevation angle can be adjusted from -0.5° to 82° rapidly, in just 95 seconds, adding to the crane’s efficient operation. It also features 360° continuous rotation at a speed of 1.0rpm, ensuring smooth and precise maneuvering. The crane is equipped with wire ropes of 24mm in diameter, with lengths of 470 meters and 420 meters for H1 and H2, respectively, supporting a range of lifting requirements.

The carrier of the AC1200J is designed for maximum performance and mobility, featuring a 10×8 drive/steering system that provides excellent maneuverability. It is powered by a robust Mercedes-Benz OM443LA engine, which is turbocharged with a 4-cycle, 10-cylinder direct injection design, delivering 560HP at 2100rpm and a maximum torque of 245kg at 1300rpm. This powertrain enables the crane to reach speeds of up to 65km/h, making it swift on the move. The braking system is comprehensive, incorporating air brakes, an electric retarder, and additional technologies to ensure safety and control.
