Product Description

After three years of launching AC 300, Demag debut a refreshed version of its 300 tonnes capacity class all-terrain crane, AC 300-1 at Bauma 2001. While this crane was not a mere successor to AC 300, it has been completely redesigned from the carrier to the main boom.

It features 12 x 8 x 10 drive and steering, and one of the four driven axles is connectable as and when required. The 448 kW DaimlerChrysler OM 502 LA engine offers a maximum torque of 2,700 Nm, which the AC 300-1 can cope with inclines up to 41% and on the flat can reach a speed of 85 km/h.

The carrier frame has been redesigned for more strength and torsion resistance which means a significant improvement in all load situations estimated 20% to 30%.

The superstructure is powered by a 205 kW engine and a maximum of five hydraulic pumps (one is auxiliary unit) provide four independent circuits, enabling four independent working motions to be performed simultaneously.

AC 300-1 comes with a four-section main boom up to 56 metres and when equipped with luffing jib extension, it can reach a maximum working height of 131 metres. Optional fixed jib, boom extension and new Sideways Superlift (SSL) attachment are also available.
