Terex acquired 98 percent of the shares in China Joint Venture Topower.

Terex has acquired 98 precent of the shares in its Topower crawler crane joint venture in China and the company future move is major expansion plans and adding larger crawler crane capacity up to 600 tonnes into China’s production line. Terex has already began transforming its Jinan factory through the application of Terex Business System lean manufacturing principles and processes.

The joint venture was formed with Shandong Topower Heavy Equipment Company in 2011 but the managing of operations was not easy and as well not in the best interest for the joint venture.

Since the joint venture, there was a total of six different models being manufactured ranging from 55 to 360 tonnes. This cranes was sold both domestically and international market.

The six model are:

  • Powerlift 1000
  • Powerlift 2000
  • Powerlift 3000
  • Powerlift 5000
  • Powerlift 7000
  • Powerlift 8000
