Albrecht Autokran GbR based in Etting, Bavaria, has decided to buy a Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane. Its 48-metre telescopic boom enables the crane to be more economical for jobs requiring great hoist heights.

  • Main criteria behind the decision – long telescopic boom, innovative technology and high levels of comfort
  • New customer – the first Liebherr mobile crane in the Autokran Albrecht fleet

Autokran Albrecht is planning to use its new LTM 1060-3.1 as a flexible, economical addition to the three and four-axle cranes in its fleet. Owner Andreas Albrecht reports: “The LTM 1060-3.1 will provide a link between two identical four-axle truck-mounted cranes with 35-metre telescopic booms and our larger mobile cranes. Its enormous boom length of 48 metres means that the 60-tonne crane can be used efficiently for jobs which essentially involve great heights”.

The main fields of use for the new LTM 1060-3.1 will be the installation of wooden and concrete prefabricated parts for house construction, as well as structural steelwork and loading work. The new crane will also be used for challenging tree felling work.

Family-run Albrecht started business in the 80s as a formwork rental company. Today, the company has 6 mobile cranes with lifting capacities of up to 120 tonnes in its vehicle fleet. The LTM 1060-3.1 is its first Liebherr crane. Andreas Albrecht explains: “The LTM 1060-3.1 was the only crane which could meet our demands in terms of manoeuvrability, lifting capacity and range as well as its selection of additional equipment without having to accept compromises. It has a whole host of technical features, for example, its variable support base VarioBase®, which also played a major role in our decision. What is more, it offers a high level of comfort in the operator cabins. That makes working with it every day significantly more pleasant.”
