On the evening of the 7th of Feb, a 19-year-old woman who was driving a light passenger car died in a head-on collision with rough terrain on a prefectural road in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
At around 3:45 pm on the 7th, a light passenger car heading from Shika-cho to Nanao-shi on a prefectural road in Otsu-machi, Nanao-shi collided head-on with a rough terrain crane.
In this accident, Nozomi Takashima (19), who was driving a mini car, was taken to a hospital in Nanao City, but she hit her head hard and died about an hour later.
The site was one lane on each side, and there was snow on the road at the time of the accident.
Police are investigating the detailed cause of the accident and do not rule out that the passenger vehicle lost control and skidded, hitting the oncoming rough terrain crane.
