US based Bay Ltd has taken delivery of the final unit of 15 new Liebherr All Terrain cranes as part of a fleet expansion project.
The order included cranes from 60 to 600 tonnes, which join a 45 strong Liebherr crane fleet which ranges from a 50 tonne LTM 1050-3.1 up to a 1,200 tonne LTM 11200-9.1. The company also has a 600 tonne LR 1600-2 lattice boom crawler crane and two telescopic crawler cranes.
Vice president Berry Peterson said: “We chose Liebherr due to the reliability of their equipment, life span of the equipment and quality customer service. Those at Bay rely heavily on the detailed training Liebherr is able to provide, that combined with the service department and parts availability gives them a head up when Bay is looking to source additional cranes for the fleet.”
Established in 1953, Bay is part of Berry Contracting and claims to be one of the largest privately owned crane companies in the United States. Based in Corpus Christi, Texas, it operates a crane fleet from locations in Houston and Aransas Pass in Texas, Morgan City in Louisiana and Billings, Montana .
