Product Description
The Liebherr LTM 1050-3.1 made its official debut at Bauma 2007, held in Munich, Germany, as a modern upgrade to the widely adopted LTM 1045-3.1, which saw nearly 500 units built since its introduction in 2002. Designed to offer enhanced lifting performance and operational flexibility, the LTM 1050-3.1 carries forward Liebherr’s tradition of integrating advanced control systems, powerful drivetrains, and compact design in its all terrain crane lineup.
With a maximum lifting capacity of 50 tons (45 metric tons), the crane is equipped with a 38-meter (124.7 feet) telescopic boom that is extended via a hydraulic single-cylinder and rope extension system. Its double folding jib, extendable up to 16 meters (52.5 feet) and usable at multiple offset angles, provides a maximum hoist height of 54 meters (177 feet) and a maximum radius of 39 meters (128 feet). These features make the crane highly adaptable for both vertical and outreach lifting tasks in tight or overhead-restricted sites.
Mounted on a three-axle carrier, the LTM 1050-3.1 benefits from all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering, offering exceptional mobility across urban streets, industrial zones, and unprepared terrain. It is powered by a Liebherr diesel engine producing 270 kW (367 hp), driving a ZF-AS-Tronic 12-speed automated transmission. The crane can travel at speeds up to 80 km/h (50 mph) and maintain excellent roadability while carrying parts of its counterweight and jib.
The crane utilizes the Liebherr LICCON (Liebherr Computed Control) system for monitoring all crane functions, providing load moment data, configuration visualization, and integrated safety checks. Operator convenience is further supported by a spacious, air-conditioned cab with intuitive joystick controls and adjustable seating.
Setup time is minimized with hydraulic outriggers featuring automatic leveling, and the crane’s compact overall length of 10.37 meters and width of 2.55 meters make it well-suited for congested job sites and urban environments.
As a next-generation model following the successful LTM 1045-3.1, the LTM 1050-3.1 blends improved lifting power, transport efficiency, and system automation. It continues to serve contractors seeking a compact, high-performing crane capable of diverse lifting applications—from industrial installation to general construction and infrastructure projects.
