Product Description
The 160 tonnes mobile crane features the new single-engine concept with a mechanical shaft powering the superstructure. It was also the second crane to have this new innovation apart from LTM1300-6.2 which was introduced to the market in Germany BAUMA 2013.
The six-section telescopic boom comes with Liebherr TELEMATIK telescoping system and with its 10.8 to 19 metres folding jib and additional telescopic boom extensions, the new LTM1160-5.2 can reach a lifting height of up to 99 metres and outreach radius of 78 metres. The folding jib can be installed with 0°, 20° or 40° and an optional hydraulic adjustment function is also available for the folding jib. For two-hook operation, a second hoist gear and a 2.9 metres assembly jib and a rooster sheave are available.
Although the telescopic boom remains the same length at 62 metres, the new model boasts an increase of load capacity of an estimated 20-25% from its predecessor. In addition, the width of the carrier has been reduced to 2.75 metres from its previous 3 metres, which means that it is not only easier to travel on public roads but also better working conditions on constricted sites.
ECO Mode For Better Efficiency
An add-on program has also been developed for the new crane drive concept with just one engine and a mechanical shaft to allow the machine to run with ultra-low fuel consumption. This enables the complete pump drive to be disconnected automatically when the engine is idling and then reconnected by intelligent controllers when required in just matters of seconds.
Another special mode for the mobile crane was the load-sensing range to reduce the cost of crane use while also reducing noise emissions.
