Demag AC615
The Demag AC 615 is a 200-ton, six-axle all-terrain crane designed for heavy lifting operations in construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects. It features a five-section telescopic boom extending up to 50 meters (164 feet), with additional jib extensions available for greater reach. The crane is powered by a Daimler-Benz OM-442 LA V8 diesel engine, delivering 362 kW (492 HP), and a 16-speed ZF-Transmatik torque-converter transmission for optimal on-road and off-road performance. The advanced hydraulic system, electronic controls, and multiple counterweight configurations ensure precision, stability, and efficiency in challenging job site conditions.

Product Description
The Demag AC 615 is a high-capacity 200-ton all-terrain crane designed for demanding lifting applications, offering excellent mobility, lifting power, and versatility. Built on a six-axle carrier (12x6x8 drive configuration), the crane is engineered for superior maneuverability on both public roads and rough terrain, making it suitable for large-scale projects such as bridge construction, industrial plant maintenance, and heavy infrastructure work.
The crane’s main boom is a five-section telescopic boom, extending up to 50 meters (164 feet). For additional reach, the crane can be equipped with a lattice-type fly jib (12 to 20 meters) or a luffing fly jib (18 to 51 meters) with offset angles of 10° and 20°. The boom is constructed from high-grade steel with an ovaloid profile for enhanced strength and reduced weight, ensuring superior lifting performance. A Superlift attachment can be used to increase lifting capacity, especially for long-reach applications.
The carrier is powered by a Daimler-Benz OM-442 LA V8 turbocharged diesel engine, producing 362 kW (492 HP). The ZF-Transmatik 16-speed torque-converter transmission provides smooth power delivery, with eight high-speed and eight low-speed gears for optimized travel performance. The hydraulic suspension system enhances ride comfort and stability, while the hydraulically blockable axles improve control over rough terrain. The crane also features dual-circuit steering, with multiple steering modes for enhanced maneuverability in confined spaces.
The superstructure is powered by a Daimler-Benz OM-366 A 6-cylinder diesel engine, delivering 119 kW (163 HP). The crane’s hydraulic system consists of three axial-piston hydraulic pumps, allowing simultaneous multi-function operation. The slewing system is driven by an axial-piston hydraulic motor with planetary reduction, ensuring smooth and precise 360° rotation. The hoist system features a fixed-displacement axial-piston motor with planetary reduction, providing strong and stable lifting.
For safety and efficiency, the AC 615 is equipped with an advanced electronic load moment indicator (LMI) system, which monitors load weight, boom angle, load radius, and counterweight configuration in real-time. The operator’s cab is ergonomically designed with large panoramic windows, a comfortable seating position, air conditioning, and advanced joystick controls for precise crane operation.
Additional features include:
Fixed jib (12-30 meters, 3° or 20° offset)
Lattice-type fly jib (12-20 meters, fold-away extension boom)
Luffing fly jib (18-51 meters, with adjustable offsets at 10° and 20°)
Counterweight system with up to 20 tons of additional counterweights
Integral hydraulic telescoping outriggers for maximum stability
The Demag AC 615 combines exceptional lifting capacity, advanced safety features, and superior mobility, making it a top choice for heavy-duty lifting applications. Its robust design, powerful hydraulics, and efficient transportability ensure maximum productivity and reliability on the job site.
