The incident happened two day ago where a heart-stopping incident captured by a Ring doorbell camera in Wigan, Lancashire, a young girl narrowly escaped a potentially fatal accident. The footage, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the child playing on her tricycle in the front garden when she noticed an unusual activity involving a crane across the street. Sensing danger, she quickly left her tricycle and ran towards her house. Moments later, the crane, which was lifting a large metal container, toppled over, causing the container to crash onto the driveway of her home.
Miraculously, the girl was unharmed, but the falling crane caused significant damage, caving in a bedroom wall and slicing through parts of the house around 10:30 AM. Following the accident, the Greater Manchester Fire Rescue Service and other emergency services rushed to the scene, and the affected family was moved to emergency accommodation.
The exact cause of the crane’s collapse has not been confirmed, though it occurred during a period when Storm Kathleen brought high winds to parts of the UK, potentially contributing to the accident. Police and emergency services are currently investigating the incident and have asked the public to avoid the area while cleanup and further investigations are conducted.
