German crane rental company Eisele has taken delivery of its fourth 220 tonne Tadano ATF 220-5.1 All Terrain crane.
The five-axle ATF 220-5.1 has a 68 metre, seven section main boom plus a luffing swingaway extension providing a maximum tip height of 108 metres. It offers axle loads of 12 tonnes with its counterweight removed or as low as eight tonnes with its detachable boom removed.
Managing director Claus Eisele – who took delivery of the crane on his 72nd birthday – said: “The Tadano cranes are workhorses that never let us down, in particular the 220-tonne machines. Which is why we have 10 Tadanos in our fleet and, with this new one, four 220 tonners. We ordered the crane fully equipped, together with a second winch and a hydraulic extension. Together with the three machines in this class we already had, we can flexibly assign our existing accessories and the additional equipment to the various cranes.”
He added: “I have been in contact with Tadano continuously since 1986. All this time, the quality, service and performance of the machines have been just right. I’m a fan of the ATF-220-5.1. They’re powerful, comfortable to drive and robust. They also boast low operating costs thanks to the separate engines for the superstructure and the carrier. What more could I want as a crane businessman?”
Established in 1988, Eisele employs 60 and runs a fleet of cranes with capacities from 30 to 500 tonnes as well as a number of aerial work platforms, forklifts and telehandlers from its location in Maintal, east of Frankfurt. The company is now part of the Hüffermann group after it was acquired earlier this year.
