Gheysens takes delivery of the first Tadano AC 7.450-1 in Benelux

From now on, a Tadano AC 7.450-1 on its way to work will also be part of the sights in the Benelux countries: Belgian crane service provider Gheysens, which is headquartered in Bruges, ordered the first crane of this model together with an AC 5.160-1 and AC 5.250-1 and received it recently.

The brand new seven-axle unit was handed over by Tadano Belgium to Managing Director Miguel Gheysens, who made absolutely sure to receive the machine in person: “The Tadano AC 7.450-1 fascinated me from the get-go. It’s a pretty incredible piece of machinery: compact like a six-axle crane and yet more powerful than some eight-axle units out there when using certain boom positions. To tell you the truth, we’re very proud of having this one in our fleet.”

Gheysens ordered the AC 7.450-1 with an 81-meter luffing jib and the enhanced SSL Sideways Superlift system, in which the Superlift arms are mounted all the way at the front of the head, meaning that they are ultimately longer and provide larger lifting capacities. Gheysens even treated itself to aluminium rims on its new AC 7.450-1 – but not due to aesthetic reasons, but rather because this enables the Tadano to travel within a 12-tonne axle load limit even when carrying the three-sheave hook block on board.
