Interkran buys duo Demag Cranes

Swiss crane rental company Interkran is extending its fleet with the addition of two Demag all terrain cranes from manufacturer Terex Cranes. The models are: an AC 300-6 and an AC 100-4L. The rental firm said this is the first time it has ever bought a Demag.

The six-axle Demag AC 300-6 all-terrain crane is in the 300 tonnes (350 US ton) class, has an 80-metre main boom, and is the first crane of its size in the Demag range with a luffing jib, said Terex.

In response to user feedback, the AC 100-4L has been updated and now has a new design that Terex claimed improves lifting performance, especially when working at steep main boom positions. It is one of the most compact cranes in the 100-tonne class, Terex added.

“We visited the Zweibrücken factory in October and were really impressed with the new Demag product line and innovations,” said Interkran CEO Tony Teixeira. “The AC 300-6 will be our largest all-terrain to date and will support our ever-growing business through its outstanding capacity and boom length while the AC 100-4L, with its compact dimensions, gives us access to the even tightest job sites across Switzerland.”

Christian Kassner, the senior sales manager at Terex Cranes, commented, “We are delighted to count Interkran as a new customer, and we hope that our relationship will last for many years, if not decades. We are proud to serve them and to witness that they acknowledge the quality of our Demag products.”
