A 72-year-old elderly, Sugano Rokuro, who was riding a bicycle died when a rough terrain crane collided with a bicycle in Nerima Ward, Tokyo on the morning of the 10th Jan 2022. The accident occurred at the intersection of Chikawa-dori, Nerima-ku, Tokyo.
The 49-year-old Yoichi Yonemura (49), who was driving a rough terrain crane, was arrested for the current offence of negligent driving injuries. The cane operator has called the police to report on the accident.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the accident occurred when the crane was making a left turn at the intersection and hit the deceased who was riding the bicycle. Investigations are ongoing.
Residents living nearby say that there were many accidents occur at this intersection.
