Hitachi-Sumitomo is preparing to launch is new 80 tonne SCX800A-3 crawler crane that comes with a low emission Tier IV power unit.
The first two units have been ordered by NRC Plant, Hitachi-Sumitomo distributor for the UK. The units are scheduled for delivery in March 2015 and will be featured by NRC Stand at Vertikal Days in May 2015 as well.
Performance
The 80 tonnes crawler crane can be configured with a maximum of 54.5 metres main boom and an optional 9 to 18 metres jib, reaching a maximum lifting height of up to 63.5 metres. It can lift a maximum capacity of 80 tonnes at a radius of 3.3 metres.
The crane has retracted width of 3.2 metres which increase to 4.83 metres when fully extended. This means that the ease of transportation for the crane body will reduce cost and time to erect the crane.
