Prime mover & crane crash in Staffordshire

A serious collision on 20th Jan on the M6 highway in Staffordshire caused long delays, closing the northbound carriageway between Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

The accident involved a prime mover and one mobile crane, which the prime mover has been driven through the centre median due to the impact.

The road, between junction 15 and 16 was closed for the rest of the afternoon due to the clearing of the spill of petrol and hydraulic fluid.

It was reported that the driver has been taken to hospital and no other injuries or fatalities was reported, but according to the photo seen, the prime mover has seemed to hit the rear of the crane.
