Key Features & Benefits

Designed for high-demand construction and industrial lifting, the Sany STC850 truck crane delivers exceptional performance through a combination of advanced hydraulics, intelligent control, and solid structural engineering. The crane offers a maximum lifting capacity of 85 tons, supported by a five-section U-shaped main boom made from fine grain high-strength steel. The boom spans from 12.2 meters to 47 meters, with a jib extension of 17.5 meters, providing a maximum lifting height of 64.7 meters.

This powerful machine is mounted on an 8×4 chassis, where axles 3 and 4 serve both driving and steering functions, while axles 1 and 2 are for steering only, enhancing tight space maneuverability. Powered by a 275 kW inline six-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine, compliant with Euro III emission standards, it delivers 1550 Nm of torque and supports travel speeds up to 80 km/h with a gradeability of 38%.

Its hydraulic system uses load-sensitive variable displacement piston pumps and electronically controlled main valves for precision and energy efficiency. Both the main and auxiliary winches are electrically controlled, achieving line speeds up to 130 m/min. The slewing system, featuring a unique rotary buffer valve, provides 360° rotation with a slewing speed of 2.0 r/min, allowing smooth and accurate placement of heavy loads.

The crane is stabilized by four-point H-type outriggers with a maximum span of 6.18 × 7.8 meters, automatically adjustable via hydraulic cylinders. A total counterweight of up to 11 tons can be installed, including a 2-ton fixed and two 4.5-ton optional blocks, increasing its operational stability and lifting performance.

The STC850’s control architecture integrates SANY’s proprietary SYMC controller with CAN-bus communication, ensuring real-time feedback and full-system diagnostics. Safety is assured with a high-accuracy load moment limiter (±3%), winch over-roll limiters, boom and jib hoist limiters, anemometers, pressure sensors, and automatic shutdown for hazardous conditions.

Both the upper and lower cabs are ergonomically designed with advanced air conditioning, panoramic sunroofs, sliding doors, and intelligent displays. Operator comfort is enhanced through anti-vibration construction, adjustable steering, and visibility-optimized layouts.

In summary, the Sany STC850 stands as a top-tier truck crane that offers a balanced combination of lifting power, mobility, safety, and operational precision—making it an ideal choice for infrastructure, oil & gas, and industrial construction projects.
