Anker expands its Tadano fleet with AC 45 City

Anker Demag AC 45 City

Lüneburg-based crane service provider Anker placed a brand-new ATF-220-5.1 into operation a few months ago and is now following that up with another Tadano crane in the form of a brand new Demag AC 45 City.

General Manager Jens Anker made sure to pick up the new crane in Zweibrücken in person. The AC 45 City was handed over by Tadano Sales Manager Thorsten Dietzel.

“The City cranes from Zweibrücken have been a mainstay of our fleet for a long time now. We got our first City in 1999, and as time went on, we got it a sibling simply because these cranes are unbeatable as far as we’re concerned,” Jens Anker says.

In this case, he is referring primarily to indoor jobs carried out with his City cranes, and his crane operators share his assessment of the cranes unreservedly, he points out. What he found particularly compelling about the new AC 45 City in addition to the compact design and large degree of versatility was the runner, which can be used to telescope loads of up to 25 tonnes.

“The newest member of our family will be able to fully take advantage of these characteristics when installing overhead cranes and building industrial facilities. In fact, that’s what we’ll be primarily using it for,” Jens Anker explains before mentioning that he is confident that the AC 45 City will prove to be the perfect choice for both applications.

Meanwhile, the ATF-220-5.1 has long since passed its first test with flying colours, and Anker currently uses it to erect tower cranes, install roofing across long distances, and other jobs.

After all, the ATF-220-5.1 is the perfect machine for this with its 68-meter-long main boom. However, what was decisive when it came to deciding to purchase the crane was the fact that, without counterweight, the ATF-220-5.1 can be driven almost like a taxi crane.

Jens Anker is an avowed Tadano fan and looks at his fleet corroborates this: It not only features the new AC 45 City and Tadano ATF-220-5.1 cranes, but also an AC 30 City and one AC 40 City unit, not to mention two HK 40 units, an ATF 70, and an ATF 100.

Jens Anker, who has managed the company founded in 1976 for over 20 years as the second generation in charge of the reins, is as proud of his powerful and efficient fleet as he is of his motivated and highly qualified team.

After all, these two success factors have made his company one of the go-to choices in the northern German region and beyond when it comes to crane and aerial work platform rentals, transportation services, and recovery services.

His customers from the commercial and private sectors particularly appreciate the impeccable professionalism and reliability of the PartnerLIFT-certified company, where, it is worth noting, the merger between Tadano and Demag is viewed as an extremely positive development: “As customers, we’ll definitely be able to benefit noticeably from the resulting synergistic effects.

One specific example is that Mr. Dietzel can now offer us an even broader range of cranes for all kinds of requirements. This increase in variety is something that we welcome with open arms,” the Anker General Manager highlights.
