Effective immediately, the new Tadano HK 4.070-1 is underway in the Netherlands too: Epe-based Herms is the first crane service provider in the country to secure delivery of the model – and with a unique detail to boot: In addition to the nine-tonne counterweight that comes as standard, Herms ordered the HK 4.070-1 with six tonnes of extra counterweight plus a trailer for transportation.

“With the trailer, our new HK 4.070-1 can travel on public roads in the Netherlands with a total counterweight of fifteen tonnes. That opens up a whole range of jobs that we’ll be able to take care of without the need for additional transportation vehicles,”

explains Herms General Manager Marcel Herms.

The high versatility of the Tadano truck-mounted crane is further boosted by its telescopic main boom and a long reach of 41 meters. The same applies to the HK 4.070-1 chassis, which is based on a 470-hp Volvo 8 x 4 Triple that provides powerful propulsion and excellent manoeuvrability thanks to steering rear axles.
