Another five new Liebherr all terrain cranes have joined the fleet of Marsh Plant Hire in the UK. Marsh has taken delivery of three new 40 tonne capacity LTM 1040-2.1 wheeled mobile telescopic cranes and two 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1 models.

The 40 tonner has a 35 metre main boom in four sections and is on a two axle carrier. All wheels are driven and steered. The LTM 1060-3.1 has a three axle carrier and all-wheel steering. Its five section boom gives a maximum operating height of 48 m and that can be increased with a fly jib. The 60 tonner can travel with all 12.8 tonnes of counterweight and a double fly jib and still comply with the UK’s Special Types General Order (STGO) regulations for road travel. Both models have been specified with the Variobase outrigger system.

Andy Honeywell, Marsh Plant Hire managing director, said, “We are proud to continue our long-standing relationship with Liebherr and continue to be impressed by the product specification and aftersales support they provided. We are considering further Liebherr orders for the second half of 2018.”

Marsh Plant Hire, based in Hampshire in southern England, provides mobile cranes and contractor’s general plant rental services in the south and the Midlands.
