Scholpp takes delivery of new E-pack ready Tadano AC 3.045-1 City

scholpp ac 3 045 city new delivery with e pack

When it comes to Tadano City cranes, Jan Meißner, Scholpp’s regional manager for the Rhine-Neckar region, has absolutely no doubts. “These cranes are as flexible and versatile as any you could possibly wish for,” he says. And he’s speaking from experience: City cranes from Zweibrücken have been a staple of the Scholpp fleet ever since the company bought its first AC 70 City. Which explains why the latest addition to the fleet is another Tadano – an AC 3.045-1 City. Meißner and three of his colleagues – Scholpp Heilbronn branch manager Patrick Löffler and crane operators Hubert Vogt and Reinhold Beitinger – took delivery of their new machine recently in Zweibrücken. The handover honours were performed by Tadano Sales Manager Michael Zieger.

Scholpp will use its new City mainly for factory hall assignments, such as setting up overhead cranes. “With its short boom base section and low height, it’s simply ideal for these sorts of jobs,” says Patrick Löffler. Other decisive advantages of the Tadano AC 3.045-1 City for Scholpp include its superlative ability to telescope under load and the ease of installation of the runner. And then there’s the continuously adjustable Flex Base outrigger system, which allows outriggers to be extended out to within a hair’s breadth of obstacles in halls and other tight job sites. The Tadano AC 3.045-1 City is also a winner on the road, as crane operators Hubert Vogt and Reinhold Beitinger both happily attest: “The cruise control makes for super-easy driving, and Tadano has seriously spec up the performance.”

The Tadano AC 3.045-1 City also supports an option the Scholpp team just had to have. “We ordered an E-Pack ready crane, of course, and we’ll be receiving the E-Pack soon,” explains Patrick Löffler. This will enable the company to use its new City for lifts in environments like cleanrooms, where emission-free operation is paramount. “The great thing about Tadano’s electro-hydraulic E-Pack system is that it’s compatible with several different crane types,” says Jan Meißner, explaining why Scholpp also selected this option for other cranes that it recently ordered from Tadano.
