Key Features & Benefits

The Liebherr LTM 1065NX-2 all-terrain crane represents a balanced fusion of high-performance lifting capability and road-going versatility. This 65-ton class crane is built around a robust 3-axle carrier that supports a fully hydraulic five-section main boom extending from 10.2 meters up to 40 meters. The crane also accommodates a 9.5-meter or 16-meter folding jib, allowing total lifting heights of up to 56 meters. Both the main and auxiliary winches offer a line pull of 4.5 tons, operating at speeds from 0 to 120 meters per minute, ensuring swift and controlled hoisting.

Powering the crane is the Liebherr D936L A6 water-cooled diesel engine, producing 367 HP at 2000 rpm and a maximum torque of 173.4 kg-m at 1500 rpm. This engine is matched to a ZF AS-TRONIC automatic transmission, providing 12 forward and 2 reverse speeds, and enabling a top travel speed of 75 km/h. The drivetrain is engineered for rugged operation with features such as full-time all-wheel drive and selectable differential locks for off-road traction.

The suspension system uses full hydro-pneumatic units with automatic leveling (Niveau system), which can adjust vehicle height by ±100 mm. All three axles are steerable for optimal maneuverability, particularly valuable in tight urban or congested sites. The steering system is hydraulically powered with a backup system driven by the drivetrain.

From a control standpoint, the crane employs joystick-based electric pilot controls and integrates Liebherr’s LICCON load moment indicator, offering digital readouts for lifting parameters such as boom length, working radius, and outrigger loads. Safety features include overwind prevention, hydraulic pressure safety valves, and electronic drum rotation monitors.

The crane is outfitted with 14.00 R25 tires and is rated for a climbing ability of approximately 34.9%. A notable operational convenience is the ability to tilt the crane cabin by up to 20 degrees, enhancing operator visibility during elevated lifts. For transport regulations, counterweights must be removed for public road travel.

With its blend of modern drive technology, adaptable lifting solutions, and safety-rich operation, the Liebherr LTM 1065NX-2 is a dependable choice for a wide variety of lifting tasks in both urban and remote job sites.
