The Shuttlelift 5540 is a carry deck crane with a rated lifting capacity of 15 US tons (13.6 metric tons). This crane is designed for heavy-duty operations in confined spaces and can handle a variety of materials in industrial, construction, and maintenance settings. Boom and Attachments:

• The main boom is a three-section hydraulic boom with a length range from 18′ 2″ to 40′ 0″ (5.54 m to 12.19 m).
• An optional 15’ (4.6 m) boom extension is available, which allows for an even greater reach.
• The crane includes a pivoting boom head that can be adjusted to angles of -15°, -30°, 0°, +30°, and +60° to enhance versatility on the job.
• The crane is also equipped with a 15-ton double-sheave hoist block and a rope packer.

Drive and Steering:

• The Shuttlelift 5540 offers both 2-wheel drive as standard and optional 4-wheel drive for improved off-road performance.
• A 4-wheel steering system with crab steering is standard, providing a tight turning radius of 12′ 4″ (3.76 m) in four-wheel steer mode.
• The crane is equipped with a 4-speed power shift transmission, enabling travel speeds of up to 21 mph (33.8 km/h).

Engine Options:

• Standard power is provided by a GM 4.3L electronically fuel-injected V6 engine, delivering 101 horsepower at 2500 RPM.
• For increased power, a Cummins 4BT3.9 diesel engine is available, delivering 110 horsepower at 2500 RPM.

Hydraulics and Outriggers:

• The hydraulic system is powered by a gear-type pump with three sections, delivering up to 40 gallons per minute (151.4 L/min) at 3500 psi (24,133 kPa) system pressure.
• The crane’s outriggers are hydraulic telescoping box types, with two stages, enabling quick setup and stability.

Safety and Operator Features:

• Standard safety features include load hold check valves, a backup alarm, an electric horn, and boom angle indicators.
• The crane has optional enclosed cab configurations with sliding windows, and an adjustable operator’s seat with a seatbelt.
• Other features include an anti-skid deck surface, lights for various conditions, and a load indicator for safe operations.
