Product Description
The Demag CC 2000-1 is a 400-ton crawler crane, introduced by Terex Demag in November 2003 as an advanced variation of the 300-ton CC 1800-1 model. The concept behind the CC 2000-1 was to retain much of the crawler carrier and superstructure from the CC 1800-1 while offering more versatile and higher-capacity boom configurations. This design approach provides increased lifting capacity and extended reach for more demanding projects.
The CC 2000-1 features a wide range of boom configurations, allowing for maximum flexibility in lifting tasks. Its SH configuration offers boom lengths up to 84 meters, while the SH/LH version extends up to 108 meters, and the SSL/LSL configuration can reach lengths of up to 120 meters using the Superlift system. In addition, luffing jib options provide a further increase in reach, with lengths ranging from 18 to 84 meters, enhancing its capabilities for large-scale industrial applications.
The 300-ton CC 1800-1, on which the CC 2000-1 is based, is capable of lifting 300 tonnes using a special heavy boom head. With a basic boom configuration of 30 meters, it has a rated lifting capacity of 251 tonnes at a 6-meter radius, showcasing the crane’s strength and flexibility for heavy lifting. The CC 2000-1 builds on this platform by increasing the overall lifting capacity to 400 tons, offering more robust lifting capabilities.
The crane is powered by a 260 kW (353 hp) DaimlerChrysler OM 501 LA engine, ensuring reliable performance while complying with EURO III and EPA standards for environmental efficiency. The hydraulic system, driven by variable displacement axial piston pumps, allows for smooth and precise control of crane movements, making it ideal for complex and heavy-duty lifting tasks.
Safety is a priority in the CC 2000-1, which includes electronic load indicators, hoist and boom movement limit switches, and hydraulic boom backstops. The operator’s cab is ergonomically designed for comfort, with large safety-glazed windows, air conditioning, and full instrumentation, ensuring a safe and controlled working environment. The cab can tilt for improved visibility and fold for transportation ease.
Optional equipment includes additional counterweights of up to 200 tons, Superlift equipment for increased stability during heavy lifts, and various jib extensions for enhanced reach. The crane’s robust control system, Demag IC-1, allows operators to monitor load conditions, optimize power output, and maintain precise control over all lifting operations.
Overall, the Demag CC 2000-1 delivers outstanding lifting capacity, flexibility, and operational efficiency, making it an essential tool for large construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Its enhanced boom systems and high lifting capabilities make it a significant advancement over its predecessor, the CC 1800-1.
