Hitachi KH850-3

The Hitachi KH850-3 is a high-capacity crawler crane engineered for heavy lifting tasks with a maximum rated load of 150,000 kg (330,700 lbs) at a 5.0-meter working radius. The crane is equipped with a basic boom length of 18 meters (59’1″), which can be extended to a maximum length of 84 meters (275’7″) to accommodate a wide range of construction needs. It also features a jib extension option, with lengths from 13 meters (42’8″) to 31 meters (101’8″), allowing for a maximum combined boom and jib length of 103 meters (337’11”).

The KH850-3 operates efficiently with its dual-mode swing speed control, providing high-speed rotation of 0 to 2.0 rpm and low-speed rotation of 0 to 1.2 rpm. The travel speed of the crane is similarly adjustable, with a high-speed setting of up to 1.2 km/h (0.75 mph) and a low-speed option of 0.8 km/h (0.50 mph), ensuring smooth maneuverability on job sites.

The crane boasts excellent gradeability, capable of handling slopes up to 17° (30%), and its ground pressure is approximately 0.91 kgf/cm² (12.9 psi), ensuring stable operation even under heavy loads. The crane’s operating weight is substantial, at 150,000 kg (330,700 lbs), which includes the 150-ton capacity hook and 57,700 kg (127,200 lbs) counterweight.

Powering the KH850-3 is an Isuzu 6RB1T turbocharged diesel engine, which delivers a rated horsepower of 206 kW (280 PS) at 2,000 rpm. This robust engine provides the necessary power for lifting operations and ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.
