Key Features & Benefits

The SANY SCC20000A crawler crane represents a major step in high-capacity lifting equipment, positioned just beneath SANY’s 2200-ton flagship. It is designed to undertake some of the world’s most demanding lifting tasks—particularly the installation of ultra-high wind turbines (up to 15 MW), large prefabricated modules, and heavy components for energy infrastructure.

Rated with a maximum lifting capacity of 2000 tons, the SCC20000A delivers a maximum lifting moment of 35,200 t·m. This is achieved using its extensive main boom system, which ranges from 54 to 156 meters. The luffing jib, configurable from 36 to 108 meters, allows for a combined boom+jib configuration up to 108+108 meters, providing vertical reach over 200 meters—ideal for ultra-tall applications.

The superlift system of the SCC20000A features a slewing-type counterweight carriage with a counterweight capacity of up to 900 tons and a slewing radius adjustable from 24 to 36 meters. The mast and tray are fully self-assembling, reducing reliance on auxiliary cranes during setup. This system is key for increasing stability during high moment lifts, particularly when lifting at extended outreach.

Power is delivered through dual Cummins QSK23 engines, each producing 708 kW, for a total system output of 1416 kW. These 6-cylinder engines run at 1800 rpm and meet Tier 3 emissions standards, offering both environmental compliance and long-term fuel economy. They are paired with a massive fuel tank capacity of 2×1200L (total 2400L), supporting prolonged operation under full load.

The winches deliver excellent speed and torque, with main and auxiliary hoist line speeds reaching 120 m/min. Slewing speed is 0.8 rpm, while the travel speed is capped at 1.0 km/h—suitable for maneuvering the crane under no-load conditions on large construction sites. The crane’s wide crawler base ensures excellent ground contact and a ground pressure as low as 0.13 MPa, enabling operation on softer or prepared soil conditions.

As shown in the specification overview on page 5, the SCC20000A has a modular transport design with a maximum single transport component limited to 45 tons. This facilitates both domestic and international logistics, and the crane’s modular structure supports efficient assembly, disassembly, and site transitions.

The operator’s cab is equipped with climate control, panoramic visibility, a multi-screen interface for load and system status, and SANY’s full-featured safety suite. This includes a load moment limiter (LMI), overhoist and overload protection, emergency stop systems, swing and boom angle limiters, and optional remote monitoring.

Overall, the SANY SCC20000A is a workhorse of ultra-heavy lifting, bridging the performance gap between 1600 and 2200-ton crawler classes. Its reach, lifting power, modularity, and intelligent systems make it an indispensable solution for megaprojects in modern energy and industrial construction.
