XCMG XCT110_M, 110 ton hydraulic truck crane with 58m main boom

Key Features & Benefits

The XCMG XCT110_M was developed as part of XCMG’s modern XCT series of truck cranes aimed at improving lifting performance, mobility, and operational efficiency while maintaining compact transport dimensions. The crane belongs to the 110-ton lifting class and is configured on a four-axle truck carrier with full hydraulic steering capability and a compact chassis arrangement suitable for both highway travel and demanding jobsite conditions. According to the specification, the crane has an overall transport length of 13,985 mm, width of 2,780 mm, and overall height of 3,990 mm.

The carrier chassis uses a torsion-resistant box-type frame designed and manufactured by XCMG using high-strength steel. The chassis is equipped with four hydraulic outriggers in a K-type arrangement consisting of front swing outriggers and rear horizontal telescopic outriggers. Outrigger operations are controlled hydraulically with electronic control consoles located on both sides of the chassis. Maximum outrigger reaction force at full lifting capacity is rated at 820 kN while the outrigger float diameter measures 450 mm.

Power for the XCT110_M is supplied by a SINOTRUK MC11.39-30 inline six-cylinder water-cooled electronically controlled diesel engine compliant with China National III emissions regulations. The engine develops 290 kW at 1,900 rpm with maximum torque of 1,900 Nm between 1,000 and 1,400 rpm. Fuel tank capacity is rated at 320 liters. Transmission duties are handled by a Shaanxi Fast Gear 10JSD180TB mechanical gearbox providing 10 forward and 2 reverse speeds with synchronizers.

The four-axle chassis uses steering on all axles. Axles one and two utilize mechanical steering with hydraulic power assistance while axles three and four use cylinder-controlled steering systems for improved maneuverability and multiple steering modes. The crane travels on 385/95R25 single tires mounted on all axles. Maximum travelling speed reaches 90 km/h while maximum gradeability is rated at 45%. Minimum turning diameter is specified at 20 m and minimum ground clearance is 367 mm.

The crane’s superstructure is fabricated from high-strength steel and incorporates electro-proportional hydraulic technology. The hydraulic system utilizes electric proportional variable pumps for lifting, luffing, and telescoping operations while slewing is driven through a closed hydraulic pump arrangement. XCMG integrated PLC intelligent control technology and a CANBus control network into the operating system, enabling real-time monitoring, fault diagnosis, and operational data management.

The XCT110_M employs a six-section telescopic boom with a U-shaped welded box profile using a single-cylinder pinning telescoping system. Basic boom length measures 12.4 m while fully extended boom length reaches 58 m. Maximum hoisting height on the fully extended boom is 58 m, increasing to 82 m with jib installation. Maximum overall boom and jib combination length reaches 83.3 m.

The jib system consists of a connecting bracket, rotating bracket, and two-section lattice folding jib with selectable offset angles of 0°, 15°, and 30°. Standard jib lengths are 10.8 m and 18.3 m. An optional 7 m telescopic boom extension can also be installed to increase lifting height and reach. The crane may additionally be equipped with an independent jib head and a single top sheave for single-line lifting applications up to 7 tonnes.

Maximum rated lifting capacity is 110 tonnes at a minimum working radius of 2.5 m. Maximum load moment on the base boom reaches 3,528 kN·m while the fully extended boom delivers 2,038 kN·m. Maximum load moment with fully extended boom and jib is rated at 1,035 kN·m.

The crane operates with an outrigger span of 7.95 m longitudinally and 7.9 m transversely. Counterweight configurations total 29 tonnes and can be arranged in four combinations consisting of 6.5 t, 15.5 t, 21.6 t, and 29 t configurations depending on operational requirements.

Main and auxiliary winches are hydraulically driven through planetary gear reducers with integrated normally closed brakes and balance valves. Maximum single-line rope speed reaches 135 m/min for the main winch and 105 m/min for the auxiliary winch using fourth-layer rope speed measurements. Maximum single-line pull is rated at 82 kN on the main winch and 71.5 kN on the auxiliary winch.

The slewing system uses a single-row four-point contact ball slewing ring driven hydraulically through a planetary reducer. It allows continuous 360-degree rotation with power control or free-slewing capability and infinitely variable slewing speed control. Maximum slewing speed is rated at 1.8 rpm. Boom raising time from -0.5° to 81° is approximately 40 seconds while full boom extension from 12.4 m to 58 m requires approximately 450 seconds.

The operator’s cab is a steel structure featuring a full-view front window, adjustable seating, sunshades, windshield wipers, pull-out steps, air-conditioning, and a 20-degree tilting function for improved visibility during elevated lifting operations. The driver’s cab is fully enclosed with luxury interior equipment including air-conditioning, defrosters, electronic window controls, and air-suspension seating.

Safety systems integrated into the XCT110_M include hydraulic balance valves, hydraulic relief valves, double-way hydraulic locks, load moment indicators, rope-end limiters, height limiters, anemometers, and winch monitoring cameras. XCMG designed the crane for stable heavy lifting performance while maintaining high transport speed and flexible boom and jib configurations suitable for a broad range of lifting applications.
