Hiab iQ.958 HiPro Load Chart PDF + Specifications
The HIAB iQ.958 HiPro is a 90 tonne-metre class truck-mounted loader crane introduced in 2022 as the second model in Hiab’s iQ heavy-range series. It combines a compact installation footprint with high lifting performance, using Hiab’s V12-Power dodecagonal boom profile and the advanced SPACEevo control system. Depending on configuration, the crane is available with up to ten hydraulic extensions and can achieve a maximum horizontal reach of approximately 34.4 m and a vertical reach of about 38.5 m when equipped with the appropriate jib arrangement. Model variants include the E-8, E-9 and E-10, with lifting-class ratings of approximately 757, 748 and 743 kNm respectively. The crane can be installed on comparatively compact trucks, including suitable four-axle 32-tonne GVW chassis, while retaining useful payload capacity.

Key Features & Benefits
The HIAB iQ.958 HiPro is a heavy-duty 90 tonne-metre class loader crane developed for demanding truck-mounted lifting work where high capacity, long outreach and compact installation are required. Hiab launched the model in September 2022, positioning it as the second crane in the iQ range after the larger iQ.1188 HiPro. Its design was intended to deliver the lifting performance normally associated with a larger crane while keeping installation weight and frame dimensions comparatively low, allowing the truck to retain more usable payload.
A central feature of the iQ.958 is the V12-Power boom design, which uses a twelve-sided, or dodecagonal, profile for both the main boom and compatible jib. This geometry is intended to provide high structural strength while reducing unnecessary material and weight. The compact arrangement allows the crane installation to remain below approximately 2 m in side-section build-up, helping it fit on smaller carrier vehicles and remain below common overall vehicle-height limitations when configured appropriately. Hiab specifically developed the crane so that it can be installed on suitable four-axle trucks in the 32-tonne GVW class while preserving payload capacity.
The crane is offered in several extension configurations, including E-8, E-9 and E-10 versions. Their nominal lifting-class ratings are approximately 757 kNm for the E-8, 748 kNm for the E-9 and 743 kNm for the E-10. Corresponding crane weights are approximately 8,750 kg, 8,965 kg and 9,140 kg. The different versions allow operators to choose between lower crane mass and greater hydraulic outreach depending on the intended truck installation and lifting profile.
Maximum reach depends on the selected boom and jib configuration. Hiab quotes a horizontal reach of up to approximately 34.4 m and a vertical reach of up to about 38.5 m. The crane can also be paired with the JIB 155Q, and Hiab specifically highlights the combination of an eight-extension main boom with a six-extension jib as one of the strongest configurations in its class for long-reach lifting. This makes the iQ.958 suitable for roofing, prefabricated construction, machinery placement, building-material delivery and other jobs where the load must be positioned a substantial distance from the truck.
The iQ.958 HiPro uses Hiab’s SPACEevo electronic control system, which manages crane performance, safety and hydraulic response. SPACEevo is designed as a modular and updateable control platform and supports functions intended to improve precision, productivity and energy efficiency. The system works together with features such as Variable Stability Logic Plus (VSL+), which calculates available lifting capacity according to stabilizer deployment and the actual vehicle loading condition. This allows the crane to make better use of the truck’s available stability instead of relying only on fixed outrigger positions.
Another notable function is Dynamic Load Chart – Stabilizers (DLC-S). This system allows the operator to evaluate available lifting capacity before fully deploying the stabilizers, helping determine the most effective outrigger position for a particular lift and restricted jobsite. The crane can also be equipped with the CombiDrive 4 remote control, which provides multiple displays and operator-assistance functions while allowing the user to position themselves where visibility of the load and working area is best.
The crane has a maximum recommended hydraulic oil delivery of approximately 140 l/min and an oil-tank capacity of about 400 litres. Hiab also lists a maximum working slope of 7° for the model range. The stabilizer system can provide a span of up to approximately 9 m, giving the crane a broad support base for high-capacity lifting while still allowing partial deployment where site space is restricted and the stability system permits it.
Additional electronic and hydraulic functions include Load Stability System for vertical movements (LSS-V), Automatic Speed Control (ASC), Automatic Duty Control (ADC) and Semi-Automatic Folding (SAF). These systems are intended to smooth crane movements, automatically manage operating speed according to load conditions and simplify folding the crane into its transport position. The crane also incorporates Hiab’s nDurance protective coating, which is designed to provide long-term resistance against corrosion and environmental exposure.
The iQ.958 also includes built-in connectivity for HiConnect, allowing owners and fleet managers to access information about crane usage and operating performance. This can support maintenance planning, utilisation monitoring and fleet management over the working life of the crane. CE-marked versions use SPACEevo, while Hiab also introduced non-CE variants using the Space X4 control system for markets where different regulatory requirements apply.
Because the HIAB iQ.958 HiPro is a truck-mounted loader crane rather than a self-propelled crane, it does not have a dedicated chassis engine, axle configuration or travelling speed of its own. These specifications depend on the truck selected for the installation. Hiab designed the crane to be suitable for comparatively compact carriers, including suitable four-axle, 32-tonne GVW trucks, but the exact engine model, emissions standard, axle layout and road speed will therefore vary between installations.
Overall, the HIAB iQ.958 HiPro is a modern 90 tm heavy loader crane combining approximately 34.4 m maximum horizontal reach, 38.5 m maximum vertical reach, V12-Power boom construction and SPACEevo electronic control. Its main strengths are its high lift-to-weight ratio, compact installation dimensions, long-reach jib capability and advanced stability management, making it well suited to heavy construction delivery, equipment placement and other truck-mounted lifting operations where both payload and outreach are important.
