Potain shipped 5,000th tower crane built in China’s Zhangjiagang manufacturing plant – On 25th August 2014, Potain celebrated its 5,001st unit, an MCR225 luffing jib tower crane was delivered to Malaysian construction company YTL. YTL bought their first Potain tower crane back in 1984 and the latest unit was purchased through Inflextec Engineering, a Potain’s dealer for Malaysia since 2008. Seven of YTL’s MCR 225s were purchased to work on the Fennel Sentul project in KL, which the crane will work 16 hours a day for the next three and the half years as they build four 43 storey towers on site.
