French crane rental company Bezombes Niort has taken delivery of the 100th Liebherr LTM1450-8.1 since its delivery began less than 3 years ago where Ley-Krane took delivery of the first LTM1450-8.1.

It will be the largest crane in Bezombe’s fleet and will be used for a wide variety of work including wind power and lifting large boats in and out of the water at the Atlantic ports near the company’s headquarters in Niort, western France. The eight axle LTM1450-8.1, which was unveiled at Bauma 2016, can travel complete with its 85-metre main boom, along with outriggers and main winch within 12-tonne axle loads.

“We had to replace our LTM 1250-6.1 after 13 years of good, reliable service because our customers are demanding greater lifting capacity, more height and longer reach. That is why we invested in a crane in a higher performance class. The LTM 1450-8.1 is also a member of the latest generation of cranes. It is safe, easy to use, quickly ready to start work and also energy efficient as it is a single engine crane.”

Managing director, Benoît Bezombes

He has further added that the long boom on LTM1450-8.1 enables them to erect tower cranes in record time. In addition, with its luffing jib, the crane delivers extraordinary performance for its size. VarioBase and VarioBallast make it extremely flexible on sites with limited space. The LTM1250-6.1 was a very good crane, but the new 450-tonne mobile crane has an enormous improvement on it.

Bezombes currently employs 14 and runs a fleet of eight all-terrain cranes ranging from 25 to 450 tonnes. It also operates a fleet of loader cranes and offers heavy haulage services.
