P&J Arcomet rename as Uperio USA

US-based tower crane rental company P&J Arcomet has changed its name to Uperio USA.

The company has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of French tower crane group Uperio (Arcomet) since last year when Uperio – as the Arcomet rental business is now known – increased its stake in P&J Arcomet, purchasing the shares in the business it did not already own. The name change has no effect on operations, office locations, or contact information, which all remains exactly the same.

Uperio USA is the exclusive distributor for Zoomlion Tower Cranes throughout North America, and runs a fleet of over 100 cranes, with 60 employees in 16 states.

P&J Arcomet was established as a 50/50 joint venture between Arcomet and P&J Crane Systems in 2005, five years after P&J Crane’s Peter and Stephen Jehle started in Manassas, Virginia – on the edge of Washington DC.

Uperio USA president Brian Rolston said: “This change will allow us to focus on our growth and expansion plans as part of an enormously strong organisation. Uperio is one of the worlds’ largest tower crane companies, and we’re proud to be a part of such a professional and capable group.”

Uperio chief executive Philippe Cohet added: “Our name change here in the USA more accurately reflects our global strategy in the North American market. As a group, we have a robust presence with far-reaching capabilities. Our valued customers in this region will more easily be able to tap into those capabilities to help them be more productive and competitive.”
