Recom Moritsch has acquired fellow Italian tower crane manufacturer GP Autolift, based in Samarate, Lombardy. All of the GP range will be rebranded as Recom Moritsch from now on, and there will be an integration of technologies.

With this acquisition, Recom Moritsch adds flat top cranes to its offering, which currently consists of luffing jib and ‘low top’ cranes with a short A-frame.
Cranes Today assistant editor Sotiris Kanaris visited and spoke exclusively to Recom Moritsch joint managing director Mariano Moritsch ahead of the sale. Discussing the deal, Moritsch said, “They are currently producing cranes from 6t to 12t and by the end of the year under Recom Moritsch they aim to have six models from 150-290 tonne-metres.”
