On 13th July 2021, the Weibo account StarTV uploaded a viral video of a boy trapped in a fire in a residential building in Suining City, Sichuan Province a day earlier.

The fire broke out on the top floor of the dwelling, and a boy was trapped in a house due to the security steel grilles installed in a window.

As the flames get larger and thick smoke coming out from inside the house, two brave construction workers appeared outside of the windows and smashed the window grilles and rescued the boy safely.

It was lucky that there was a construction site nearby and the construction personnel reacted quick enough to use a man cage and the tower crane to carry out the rescue work. The construction workers and the boy was taken down to the ground by the tower crane.

The boy was burned and was treated at the hospital. Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.

Cranepedia comment

I think it is a very courageous act that the construction workers have risked their own lives in order to save the boy from the fire. If without a quick reaction and decision from the workers, the result could be catastrophic.
