Recently heavy lift crawler cranes from Wiesbauer GmbH & Co.KG and Neeb GmbH & Co. KG. joined forces to lift a gas turbine for the new gas power plant in Marbach am Neckar.

The 335t gas turbine was lifted out of the inland waterway barge with their two crawler cranes, Neeb’s Liebherr LR1600 and Wiesbauer’s Demag CC2800, and secured on Wiesbauer’s Cometto SPMTs for transport to the power plant where it was installed.

Both the Demag CC2800 and the Liebherr LR1600 had a 35m radius and shared the weight with 175 tonnes load on each hook. These photographs, from Markus Völter, were made available for the report from Wiesbauer GmbH.
