He was pronounced dead 40 minutes later. According to the Hirakata Neyagawa Fire Department, the steel frame (approximately 2 tons) placed on the bed of a truck was being lowered to the ground by a crane, and for some reason, the steel frame fell, and Mr Watanabe was caught between the steel frame and the ground.
