The Kobelco KMG5130 is a 130-tonne capacity all-terrain crane developed under Kobelco’s OEM partnership with Manitowoc and based on Grove’s GMK5130-2 platform. Designed to meet Japan-specific operational and regulatory standards, the KMG5130 features a compact 5-axle chassis that enables exceptional mobility and maneuverability, particularly suited for dense urban work environments.

The crane is powered by a DaimlerChrysler OM502LA diesel engine delivering 390 kW (530 HP), matched with a ZF AS-Tronic automated transmission system. Its driveline and steering configuration include multiple driven and steerable axles, supported by hydro-pneumatic suspension, allowing efficient roadability and job site handling.

Its telescopic main boom extends from 12.9 meters to a full 60 meters, and when combined with an optional swingaway jib measuring 10.1 to 17.6 meters, the crane achieves a maximum hook height of over 76 meters. The crane’s high-performance hoisting and slewing mechanisms offer smooth, precision-controlled lifts with load charts optimized for both reach and radius.

Transport and setup are streamlined thanks to its modular counterweight system and compact boom storage, both of which comply with Japanese highway transport regulations. The KMG5130 also features a user-friendly operator cabin equipped with an intuitive control panel and integrated load moment indicators.
