Product Description
The Kobelco 7065 crawler crane is built to deliver consistent, high-capacity performance in tough construction and foundation jobs. It boasts a maximum lifting capacity of 65 tons, with a standard boom length ranging from 12.19 meters to a maximum of 54.86 meters. An optional lattice jib, available in fixed or luffing configurations, provides additional flexibility with lengths up to 30.48 meters, allowing combined maximum system lengths of nearly 85 meters.
The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 6D22C water-cooled, direct-injection diesel engine producing 132 kW (180 PS) at 2,000 rpm, with a displacement of 11.1 liters. It provides maximum torque of 70 kgf·m at 1,200 rpm. This reliable power plant drives a full-flow hydraulic system, using two variable displacement pumps and one fixed pump to provide smooth, infinitely variable control to hoist, boom, swing, and propel functions. Hydraulic circuits deliver pressures of up to 280 kgf/cm² for hoist, boom, and propel systems, ensuring fast and precise handling.
The load hoist system features tandem drums independently powered by hydraulic axial piston motors through planetary reducers. Drums are fitted with internally expanding band clutches and externally contracting hydraulically-set band brakes. Hoisting speeds reach up to 90/45 m/min (high/low) with maximum single-line pull of 15.8 tons. The boom hoist system is powered by a similar hydraulic axial piston motor with planetary reduction, offering line speeds of 50 m/min for both raising and lowering.
Swing operations are smooth and reliable, with independent hydraulic drive providing 360-degree rotation and swing speeds up to 3 rpm. Swing brakes include spring-set, hydraulically released multiple disc brakes for positive stopping and holding.
Crawler side frames can be hydraulically extended and retracted for wide-track stability or compact transport. The crane rides on 800 mm wide track shoes, with 9 lower rollers and 2 upper rollers per side frame, ensuring stable and maintenance-free operation. Maximum travel speed is 1.2 km/h, and gradeability reaches 40%, allowing confident travel over uneven or inclined terrain.
The operator’s cab is fully enclosed, equipped with large safety-glass windows, sliding front window, and a fully adjustable high-backed seat for optimal comfort and visibility. Ergonomic controls include foot pedals and hand levers for brake and propel functions, along with easily reachable switches and gauges for monitoring vital machine functions.
Standard safety equipment includes a boom hoist limiter, over-hoist limiter, load moment limiter (optional), and integrated warning lamps for oil pressure, engine temperature, hydraulic systems, and electrical functions.
The Kobelco 7065’s robust construction, strong line pulls, efficient hydraulic system, and operator-friendly design make it an ideal choice for a wide range of lifting tasks including general construction, steel erection, clamshell, foundation work, and heavy lifting in confined or challenging site conditions.
