Grove GRT9165

Manitowoc has unveiled the Grove GRT9165  rough-terrain in Pennsylvania, USA during Crane Days 2018. Manitowoc used an extensive voice of customer (VOC) research in the design process for the GRT9165, which involved in-depth discussions with dealers and customers.

With a class-leading, 62,5 m (205 ft) main boom, new wider full vision cab, intuitive Crane Control System (CCS), reduced transport height, and best in class load charts the GRT9165 will be a valuable asset in any crane owners fleet. Product Description

The GRT9165 is a 149-tonne capacity crane that features a 62.5-metre six-section, pinned boom. In fact, the boom is 1.5 metres longer than the closest competing model. Tip height maxes out at 91.2 metres, and both manual and hydraulic extensions are available. It has been designed for easy transport, with a compact overall height of 3.8 m (148.5 inches). It also has hydraulically removable counterweight and outrigger boxes, in addition to a hydro-gas suspension on the rear axle. With all components removed, the GRT9165 weighs in at an easily roadable gross vehicle weight of approximately 52,617kg.

Operator’s Comfort

GRT9165 rough-terrain was developed with operator comfort and convenience in mind. The updated cab features a new wide-body design, measuring 2.5cm wider than other rough-terrain models, and the Crane Control System (CCS) viewing screen has been optimized for easy viewing. The cab can also hydraulically tilt up to 20°, providing improved visibility for the operator.
