The Lokomo M 313 N is a versatile 20-ton rough terrain crane equipped with a 4-element telescopic boom capable of reaching a range of boom angles from -5° to +75°. The boom extension system is fully synchronized and uses lifetime-lubricated rollers, eliminating the need for regular maintenance. An optional 7-meter lattice extension further enhances the boom’s versatility. This crane structure is manufactured from high-strength micro-alloy fine-grain steel, ensuring durability and strength in challenging working conditions.

The crane is powered by a turbocharged 6-cylinder Lokomo-Valmet 611 CS diesel engine producing 121 kW (160 hp) at 1,800 rpm, with a displacement of 6.6 liters. The engine is paired with a fully automatic 5-speed gearbox and transfer case for 4-wheel drive, equipped with a No-Spin lock and torque converter for optimal power transmission. At higher gears (4th and 5th), the torque converter automatically locks up for improved efficiency.

It rides on heavy-duty axles with hub reduction and full steering capability on both axles. The rear axle is oscillating for terrain adaptation, while the front is solid-mounted. Dual-circuit pneumatic hydraulic brakes provide reliable stopping power, and a spring-loaded parking brake secures the vehicle during stationary operation. The steering system includes hydraulic two-stage actuation with an emergency backup pump.

The frame is a closed box design for high torsional rigidity and incorporates a 270-liter fuel tank and a 345-liter hydraulic oil reservoir. Hydraulic outriggers are single-stage and telescopic with 5.4 meters of jack center distance, controllable individually or in pairs from the cab. Ground clearance is 0.3 meters, and the turning radius is notably tight for maneuverability in confined sites.

The slewing system uses a Rothe-Erde ball bearing with axial piston-driven reduction gear, featuring a hydraulically released step-less slew lock. For hoisting, the crane employs a grooved drum winch powered by an axial piston motor, using 18 mm rope with a 150-meter standard drum capacity. The auxiliary winch is optional.

The M 313 N includes a well-equipped cab with insulation, heating, ventilation, and full visibility. The control systems include an electronic safe load indicator and necessary operator instruments. Tires are standard 16.00–25, with flotation options up to 20.5–25. Travel speed reaches 50 km/h.
