The Demag AC 335J is a robust all-terrain crane boasting a lifting capacity of 140 metric tons with a working radius of 3 meters. It is built around a 10x6x8 drive configuration on a five-axle carrier and is engineered for heavy-duty lifting operations while maintaining maneuverability on various terrain conditions. The main boom extends from 12.8 meters to a maximum of 49.7 meters using five telescopic sections, and its boom extension options include a fixed jib of 12–30 meters and a luffing jib ranging from 18 to 36 meters.

Powering the carrier is a Daimler-Benz OM442LA diesel engine, delivering 435 horsepower (320 kW) at 2,100 rpm and a maximum torque of 1,765 Nm at 1,100 rpm. The carrier includes a 450-liter fuel tank, high/low 8-speed transmission, and achieves a top speed of 70 km/h with a gradeability of 60% and a turning radius of 12.8 meters. Hoisting speeds reach 120 m/min, and the slewing system offers a maximum rotation speed of 2.7 rpm. Its counterweight system maxes out at 40 tons with optional 10-ton additions for enhanced capacity.

Safety and precision are ensured via a hydraulic boom pin locking system, oil pressure load indication, and a spring-applied braking mechanism. It includes optional accessories such as super lift configurations, various jib combinations, and multiple hook blocks including 140t, 81t, and 51t variants. The AC 335J is designed to meet a wide array of lifting challenges with strength, adaptability, and advanced hydraulic and control systems.
