Key Features & Benefits

The Krupp KMK 6190 all terrain crane delivers high-capacity lifting with advanced mobility and structural strength, thanks to its 6-axle torsion-resistant welded steel carrier. Outfitted with 4 hydraulically telescoping outriggers and independently controlled pads, the crane provides exceptional setup flexibility and stability on uneven surfaces.

The carrier is powered by a robust Mercedes-Benz OM 444 A 12-cylinder diesel engine producing 406 kW (552 HP) at 2100 rpm, with a peak torque of 2400 Nm between 1000–1600 rpm. This setup pairs with an Allison 5-speed automatic transmission and a 2-range transfer case (Eco/Power modes), driving five of the six axles for full terrain adaptability. Steering is supported by ZF dual-circuit hydraulics, offering hydraulic assistance to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th axle lines. Braking is managed via pneumatic dual-circuit service brakes and hydraulic retarder with Allison integration, while emergency and parking brakes engage on the driven axles.

The carrier rolls on 12 wheels fitted with 14.00 R 25 tires, with an optional upgrade to 16.00 R 25. Hydro-pneumatic suspension offers +6%/-5% slope correction and automatic or manual leveling.

The superstructure houses a Mercedes-Benz OM 447 A diesel engine, a 6-cylinder, water-cooled model producing 213 kW (290 HP) at 1800 rpm. It drives four variable displacement piston pumps that enable simultaneous, smooth crane operations with precise electronic control. The hydraulic tank holds 400 liters, ensuring sufficient power for demanding tasks.

Boom operations include a 4-section telescopic boom constructed of high-tensile steel, with a pivoting base section for stable extension. The boom derricks using a single hydraulic cylinder, allowing elevation angles from -1.2° to +85°. Slewing is executed via dual axial piston motors and planetary gear reducers, with built-in holding brakes.

The KMK 6190’s crane cab features a full-vision aluminum design with integrated instrumentation, operator comfort systems like suspension seats and hot-water heating, and ergonomic armrest-mounted crane controls.

Safety systems include electronic load indicators, pressure relief valves, pipe fracture safety systems, and hoist limit switches. Additional equipment includes a second hoist, auxiliary lattice boom extension from 36 to 66 feet with 0° and 15° offsets, and tire upgrades.

Combining high lifting performance, road speed, and versatility, the Krupp KMK 6190 is designed for large construction projects, wind turbine work, and heavy industrial lifts requiring precision and reach on all terrains.
