Product Description

The Hitachi-Sumitomo SCX1000A-3 is a robust and adaptable crawler crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 100 tons at a 3.8-meter working radius, making it suitable for medium to large-scale lifting tasks. The crane’s boom extends from a basic length of 12 meters to a maximum length of 60 meters, providing flexibility for various lifting heights and operational requirements. Additionally, a crane jib ranging from 10 to 28 meters can be added, giving the machine a total boom plus jib length configuration of up to 79 meters (51+28 meters).

In liftcrane mode, the crane offers versatile rope line speeds with a front/rear main drum capable of 110 meters per minute (m/min) under a 12-ton load. A third winch, also rated with a 12-ton load, can operate at 95 m/min. The boom hoist drum speed is fixed at 44 m/min, ensuring steady and controlled boom adjustments during operation.

The SCX1000A-3 provides a slewing speed of 2.3 revolutions per minute (rpm), enabling swift yet smooth rotational movements for precise lifting tasks. Its travel speeds are adjustable between high (2.0 km/h) and low (1.1 km/h) modes, allowing the crane to maneuver efficiently on various terrains. With a gradeability of 30%, this crawler crane can manage inclines and challenging surfaces while maintaining stability.

For clamshell operations, the SCX1000A-3 comes equipped with a 2.5 cubic meter bucket and a maximum digging depth of 36 meters, making it suitable for deep excavation tasks. The clamshell also offers a specialized support and opening/closing wire rope speed of 64 m/min, ensuring effective and productive digging operations.

The crane is powered by an Isuzu 6HK1 engine compliant with Stage III B emission standards. This engine generates a rated output of 210 kW at 1,900 rpm, ensuring sufficient power for heavy-duty tasks while maintaining environmental efficiency. The machine’s operating weight is approximately 101 tons in liftcrane configuration and 99.5 tons in clamshell mode, providing a stable base for both lifting and digging tasks.

Ground contact pressure is rated at 113 kPa with the basic boom and 100-ton hook block for liftcrane applications, and 112 kPa in clamshell mode with a 2.5 m³ bucket. These specifications ensure that the SCX1000A-3 can operate safely on a variety of ground conditions, distributing its weight to minimize ground disturbance.

Overall, the Hitachi-Sumitomo SCX1000A-3 crawler crane is a versatile and powerful machine, capable of handling a wide range of heavy lifting and digging operations, supported by its strong engine, advanced rope systems, and durable crawler design.
