Product Description

The Hitachi-Sumitomo SCX6500 (CT12000) is a high-capacity crawler crane designed for a wide range of heavy-duty lifting applications, boasting a maximum lifting capacity of 650 tons at a 6-meter working radius when configured with the heavy-duty H650 boom. The crane features several boom configurations to meet various operational requirements:

  • H650 Heavy-Duty Boom: The basic length is 18.3 meters, extendable to a maximum of 48.8 meters, providing high lifting capacity for heavy loads.
  • L300 Light-Duty Boom: With a basic length of 18.3 meters, this configuration extends up to 85.3 meters, offering versatility for medium-scale lifting tasks.
  • L170 Light-Duty Boom: The basic length is 36.6 meters, with a maximum extension of 109.7 meters, allowing for long reach in lighter lifting applications.
  • Luffing Towercrane Setup: The tower length starts at 32 meters, and can be combined with a jib reaching up to 79.2 meters, resulting in a total tower and jib length of 147.8 meters.

The crane’s winch system includes a two-stage rope speed of 86/50 meters per minute for both the front and rear drums, enabling efficient load handling. The boom hoist drum operates at 40 meters per minute, while the luffing jib hoist speed ranges from 79 to 61 meters per minute.

The SCX6500 offers a swing speed of 0.8 rpm, providing steady and controlled rotation for precise load positioning. The travel speed is adjustable, with options for 0.8 km/h in high mode and 0.3 km/h in low mode, ensuring stable movement across job sites.

Powering the crane is a Cummins KTA19-C700 engine, which delivers a rated output of 522 kW (710 PS) at 2,100 rpm. This robust engine supports the crane’s heavy lifting capabilities while ensuring reliable performance for prolonged operations. The crane’s operating weight varies by configuration, ranging from approximately 593 to 650 tons depending on the boom setup.

The SCX6500 is designed to tackle large-scale construction, infrastructure development, and industrial lifting projects. Its range of boom configurations, powerful engine, and advanced lifting capabilities make it an ideal choice for challenging lifting tasks that require significant reach and load capacity.
