Product Description

The Hitachi Sumitomo SCX900-2 is a crawler crane engineered to deliver high performance in lifting operations within the 90-ton class, capable of adapting to various complex construction environments. This crane boasts a maximum lifting load of 90 tons at a 3.4-meter radius, ensuring robust lifting operations across a broad spectrum of projects.

The crane’s superstructure is supported by a strong undercarriage, providing stability and durability. The maximum boom length is a considerable 61 meters, which, combined with a jib, can extend the working radius substantially, allowing for flexible operation in job sites that require long reach or high elevation.

The SCX900-2 is powered by a robust Isuzu 4HK1X engine, a water-cooled, 4-cycle, 6-cylinder, direct fuel injection type diesel engine that delivers a rated power of 147 kW, ensuring ample power for lifting and moving heavy loads. Its maximum torque of 688 Nm enables the crane to perform challenging lifts with ease.

Designed with safety as a priority, the SCX900-2 features an advanced Load Moment Indicator (LMI), an integrated safety device that prevents overloading and potential accidents. This system monitors the crane’s operation, including load weight, boom angle, and length, providing real-time data to ensure lifts are performed within the machine’s safe working limits.

For operator comfort, the crane’s cab is designed with ergonomic controls and includes a comfortable operator’s seat, excellent visibility, and modern conveniences such as an AM/FM radio and air conditioning, creating a comfortable working environment that can help to reduce operator fatigue during long shifts.

From a transportation perspective, the SCX900-2 is designed with convenience in mind. Its counterweights are horizontally split, simplifying the assembly and disassembly process, making it more time and cost-efficient to move between sites. This feature, along with its retractable side frames and compact dimensions when disassembled, contributes to easier transport logistics and compliance with road regulations.

Lastly, the SCX900-2 addresses environmental considerations with an engine compliant with stringent emissions standards, reflecting Hitachi Sumitomo’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of their machinery
