Product Description

The IHI CCH500-3II crawler crane is designed as a compact yet powerful lifting solution in the 50-ton capacity class, ideal for general construction, foundation, and infrastructure projects. It is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 water-cooled, 4-cycle, direct fuel injection turbocharged engine with charge air cooling, producing 149 kW (200 hp) at 2100 rpm. This engine meets modern standards for reliability and fuel efficiency and supports long-duration work with its 240-liter fuel tank.

The crane features a fully hydraulic system with variable displacement axial piston motors driving the load hoists and swing mechanisms. The main and auxiliary winches each use individual hydraulic motors and dual drum design with lagging type Lebus grooved drums, ensuring excellent rope management and reduced wear. The hoists achieve rope speeds up to 100/70 m/min under varying load conditions and are equipped with hydraulic assist brakes, ratchet locks, and drum rotation indicators to ensure safety and precise operation.

The crane’s main boom is modular, extendable from 9 meters to 51 meters. Jib booms are available in lengths from 6 to 15 meters, with multiple offset angles (10°, 30°) for flexible lifting operations. Maximum hook height reaches approximately 51 meters with the main boom and up to 66 meters with jib attachments.

The swing system delivers 3.5 rpm rotation using a planetary reduction gear drive, while the travel system offers a maximum speed of 1.6 km/h and gradeability up to 40%. The crawler undercarriage is equipped with large track shoes and robust frame construction, delivering excellent stability on soft ground with an average ground bearing pressure of 0.64 kg/cm².

Safety systems include automatic stop devices for hook and boom overwinding, swing locks, hydraulic safety valves, counterbalance valves, and a control lever locking device. Standard equipment further enhances operator safety and comfort, with features such as cab air-conditioning, reclining seat, sun visor, radio, tinted glass, rearview mirrors, and steps with foldable design.

The crane also comes with standard instrumentation including engine tachometer, hydraulic oil pressure gauge, fuel level gauge, engine coolant temperature indicator, and an integrated OK monitor display showing operational status with clear bar graph indicators.

For ease of operation and adaptability to various lifting tasks, the CCH500-3II includes a wire mesh walkway along the boom, boom walkway lighting, optional auxiliary hoists, and plug sockets for accessory power supply. Additional attachments and hook blocks are available, supporting up to 50-ton capacity with 10-part line rigging.

With its efficient powertrain, robust hydraulics, versatile boom configurations, and comprehensive safety systems, the IHI CCH500-3II offers a well-rounded solution for contractors needing a reliable medium-capacity crawler crane that delivers performance and safety on demanding job sites.
