Product Description
The Kobelco CKE2500-2 represents a robust and reliable solution in the 250-ton class crawler crane category. Known for its efficient operation, ease of transport, and advanced safety systems, this crane is built to meet the diverse needs of heavy-duty construction and lifting environments. It is equipped with a maximum lifting capacity of 250 tons (227 metric tons) and a highly configurable lattice boom system.
The main boom can be extended from 15.2 meters up to 91.4 meters, depending on job requirements, while a luffing jib configuration offers additional flexibility with a maximum length of 76.2 meters. When configured in a combination of boom and luffing jib, the crane can achieve tip heights exceeding 114 meters, making it suitable for tall structure erection and complex lifting sequences.
Power is provided by a HINO P11C-UN diesel engine, delivering 247 kW (331 hp) at 2,100 rpm. The engine is coupled with a fully hydraulic control system that powers the travel, swing, and lifting functions with precision and reliability. The crane includes dual main and auxiliary winches, each capable of line pulls up to 132 kN (13.5 tonnes) and line speeds of 110 m/min, ensuring efficient material handling under load.
The CKE2500-2 features a modular design for efficient transport and setup. Its carbody and crawler side frames are designed for easy disassembly and reassembly on site, allowing the crane to be moved using standard flatbed trailers. The hydraulic counterweight removal system and self-assembly mechanisms reduce the need for auxiliary equipment during mobilization.
Operator comfort and safety are core to the design. The spacious cab is air-conditioned, sound-insulated, and equipped with a large, adjustable monitor displaying real-time data including load charts, boom/jib configurations, and system diagnostics. The crane also includes a Kobelco KCross (Kobelco Remote Observation Satellite System) for remote fleet monitoring, maintenance alerts, and operational analytics.
Backed by strong structural engineering, powerful winching systems, and intelligent control technologies, the Kobelco CKE2500-2 is ideal for demanding jobs such as bridge erection, plant construction, wind turbine installation, and heavy infrastructure projects where power, height, and efficiency are critical.
