Key Features & Benefits
The XCMG XCT110_Y1 is a 110-tonne truck-mounted hydraulic crane designed around a compact four-axle chassis with all-axle steering. Compared with the larger five-axle XCT110 variants, the Y1 configuration emphasizes manoeuvrability, road mobility and a relatively compact carrier while retaining a long 60.5 m telescopic boom and a broad range of jib and counterweight combinations. The crane is intended for general construction, infrastructure, industrial lifting and other applications requiring strong road travel performance together with high lifting capacity.
Lifting Capacity and Main Boom
Maximum rated lifting capacity is 110 tonnes, with a minimum rated working radius of 3.0 m. The crane uses a six-section U-shaped telescopic boom fabricated from high-strength steel. The main boom extends from 12.7 m to 60.5 m and uses a single-cylinder pinning telescoping system.
Maximum load moment is 3,528 kN·m on the basic boom and 2,274 kN·m with the fully extended main boom. With the boom fully extended and fitted with the jib, maximum load moment is approximately 1,679 kN·m. Maximum lifting height is about 13.3 m with the basic boom, 60.5 m with the fully extended main boom, and 85 m with the fully extended boom and jib.
Jib and Boom Extension
The XCT110_Y1 can be fitted with fixed lattice jibs of 10.5 m or 17.5 m, each capable of installation at 0°, 15° or 30° offset angles.
An optional 7 m boom extension is also available. In the longest arrangement, the crane combines the 60.5 m main boom, the 7 m extension and the 17.5 m jib to reach an overall boom system length of approximately 85 m.
Four-Axle All-Wheel-Steering Carrier
The XCT110_Y1 is mounted on a four-axle carrier. The all-axle-steering configuration uses an 8×8 arrangement, with the first and second axles mechanically steered with hydraulic assistance and the third and fourth axles steered hydraulically.
The third and fourth axles are also the driven axles. This gives the crane both strong site traction and unusually good manoeuvrability for a 110-tonne truck crane. Several steering modes are available to suit road travel and confined-site positioning.
Engine and Transmission
The carrier is powered by a Weichai WP10H400E62 electronically controlled inline six-cylinder diesel engine.
Rated output is 294 kW at 1,900 rpm, while maximum torque is 1,900 Nm between 1,200 and 1,300 rpm. The engine meets China VI emissions requirements and is supported by a fuel tank of approximately 470 litres and a 35-litre AdBlue tank.
Power is transmitted through a Shaanxi Fast 10-speed manual gearbox with 10 forward and 2 reverse gears. The drivetrain is designed to provide both low-speed jobsite mobility and suitable highway performance.
Road Performance
Maximum travel speed is at least 80 km/h, while maximum gradeability is approximately 45%. Minimum stable travel speed is around 1.7–3 km/h.
For the all-axle-steering version, minimum turning diameter is 20 m or less, while the corresponding boom-tip turning diameter is approximately 25 m or less. Minimum ground clearance is around 335 mm, with an approach angle of 20° and departure angle of 14°.
Overall Dimensions and Weight
Overall dimensions are approximately 14.97 m long, 2.80 m wide and 3.99 m high.
In licensed road-travel configuration, the all-axle-steering version has a maximum permissible total weight of approximately 48 tonnes, with each of the four axles carrying about 12 tonnes. A short-distance jobsite transfer configuration can reach approximately 63.2 tonnes, depending on fitted counterweight and accessories.
Counterweight System
The crane uses a modular counterweight system with a maximum total of 33 tonnes.
For the all-axle-steering version, counterweight combinations include 33, 24.6, 19.8, 19.6, 17.6, 15, 14.8, 12.8, 10, 8, 7, 2 and 0 tonnes. This gives the operator considerable flexibility when balancing lifting performance against transport mass and available working space.
Hoisting and Slewing Performance
The main winch provides a maximum single-line speed of approximately 145 m/min on the fourth rope layer, with a maximum single-line pull of about 6.8 tonnes. The auxiliary winch reaches approximately 90 m/min, also with a maximum single-line pull of around 6.8 tonnes.
Maximum slewing speed is approximately 2.0 rpm, with continuous 360° rotation and stepless speed regulation.
Boom Operating Speeds
The boom can be raised from approximately -1° to 81° in about 55 seconds.
Full extension of the boom from 12.7 m to 60.5 m takes approximately 490 seconds.
Outrigger System
The crane uses four hydraulic outriggers. The front outriggers are two-stage swing-out beams, while the rear outriggers telescope outward.
Maximum outrigger span is approximately 7.84 m longitudinally by 7.90 m transversely in the full configuration. Reduced spans of approximately 7.2 m longitudinally and 5.9 m transversely are also available depending on operating condition. Maximum outrigger reaction at rated load is listed at approximately 690 kN.
Hydraulic and Control Systems
The superstructure uses an electro-proportional hydraulic system. Variable pumps are used for hoisting, luffing and telescoping, while slewing is driven through a closed hydraulic circuit.
The crane uses dual operating levers and stepless slewing speed regulation. The hydraulic system also includes proportional directional valves and an air-cooled hydraulic oil radiator, with an effective hydraulic tank volume of approximately 840 litres.
Operator Cab and Safety Systems
The operator cab can tilt backward by approximately 20° to improve visibility during high-boom work. Equipment includes a full-view windshield, adjustable heated seat, sun shades, air conditioning, LMI display and integrated human-machine controls.
Safety equipment includes a load moment indicator, hydraulic balance valves, relief valves, anti-two-block protection, boom-lowering limiter, anemometer and winch-monitoring system.
Overall Assessment
The XCMG XCT110_Y1 is best described as a 110-tonne, four-axle all-wheel-steering truck crane with a 60.5 m six-section telescopic boom, up to 17.5 m fixed jib, optional 7 m boom extension and 85 m maximum boom system length.
Its compact 8×8 chassis, 80 km/h road speed, 33-tonne counterweight system, 145 m/min main winch and China VI Weichai engine make it a notably mobile alternative to the larger five-axle XCT110 variants, especially where turning space and transport dimensions are important.
